Prepare, manage, and verify all export-related documentation,
including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading (B/L),
airway bills (AWB), and shipping bills. Ensure all documentation is compliant with the
requirements of the destination country and letter of credit (L/C) terms.
Freight Forwarder & CHA Liaison:
Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing and
forwarding agents (CHA), and shipping lines to ensure timely booking of consignments,
competitive freight rates, and smooth movement of cargo.
Shipment Planning & Tracking:
Plan and execute export shipments in coordination with
the procurement and sales teams. Proactively track shipments from origin to destination,
providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Logistics Coordination:
Manage all logistical aspects of the supply chain, including
transportation from the manufacturer/supplier to the port/airport, warehousing, and final
dispatch.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze and negotiate freight rates and other logistics costs to
optimize expenditure without compromising on service quality or delivery timelines.
Client Communication:
Serve as a key point of contact for international clients regarding
shipment status, delivery schedules, and documentation.
Bank & Financial Coordination:
Prepare and submit export documents to banks for
negotiation and payment collection under various payment terms (e.g., L/C, CAD, D/P).
MIS & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records and prepare regular Management
Information System (MIS) reports on export activities, shipment status, and logistics
costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Business, Supply Chain
Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in an export and logistics
role, preferably with a merchant exporter in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
o Technical Knowledge:
o Proficient in handling pre-shipment and post-shipment export documentation.
o In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, DGFT policies, and
international trade finance (especially Letters of Credit).
o Experience in coordinating with CHAs, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
Skills:
o Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to
manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with
ERP/logistics software.
o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
o Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
