Key Responsibilities for Export-Focused Logistics Role
Coordinating international shipments from origin to destination, including booking cargo with freight forwarders or carriers.
Preparing and verifying export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, export licenses, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
Ensuring compliance with export laws, customs regulations, and trade agreements of both the exporting and importing countries.
Liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and government agencies to clear shipments smoothly through customs.
Managing documentation for insurance, tariffs, and duties applicable to exports.
Tracking export shipments, resolving delays or issues, and providing status updates to customers.
Optimizing shipping routes, costs, and transit times for export deliveries.
Collaborating with sales, production, and procurement teams to align export schedules and customer requirements.
Required Skills and Expertise
Fluent in English
3 - 5 years of experience with logistics processes in a manufacturing or e-commerce environment.
Strong knowledge of international trade regulations (e.g., INCOTERMS, export compliance).
Experience in export documentation and customs clearance processes.
Excellent coordination and communication skills across global partners.
Attention to detail for accurate paperwork and regulatory adherence.
Ability to manage multiple export shipments and deadlines efficiently.
