Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation Management:

Coordinating shipments, negotiating with carriers, and monitoring delivery times.

Inventory Management:

Determining optimal stock levels, monitoring inventory, and forecasting future needs.

Warehousing:

Managing warehouse operations, including storage, distribution, and order fulfillment.

Cost Management:

Analyzing and managing logistics costs (transportation, warehousing, etc.) and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Reporting:

Preparing reports on logistics performance, including transportation, inventory, and costs.

Team Leadership:

Supervising and leading a logistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.

Strategic Planning:

Developing and implementing logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain.

Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Compliance:

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Problem-Solving:

Identifying and resolving logistical issues and challenges.

Performance Monitoring:

Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
