About our Team
Our Team is a service unit within Elsevier Operations - Orders, Renewals & Fulfilment and is responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of Elsevier print products.
About the Role
As a Logistics Coordinator you will work closely with internal and External stakeholders to ensure on time receipt and delivery of print products.
Responsibilities
  • Monitoring supplier performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensuring that systems and procedures are followed, and high peak seasonal capacity is sufficient to meet our on-time shipping requirements.
  • Monitoring warehouse workload at inbound, outbound, and returns and approve additional resource required.
  • Planning and Managing quarter end revenue recognition cut-offs Supplier Spend Management
  • Analyzing freight spend trends using freight audit supplier's Business Intelligence (BI) tool.
  • Collaborating with Procurement to establish/maintain a cost-effective distribution network incl setting up of new fulfilment locations, new freight routes, etc
  • Publishing periodical dashboards, contribute to newsletters and maintain pages on intranet site. Process Compliance & Control
  • Ensuring proof of print/pick, pack, dispatch is provided by warehouses and printers.

Requirements
  • Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics or equivalent
  • Min 5 years experience in supply chain - distribution / mail / express courier related role, export knowledge
  • subject matter expert experience with finance systems and ERPs,
  • Advanced excel skills, experience with Tableau editor
  • Fluent in English(Written and Verbal)
  • Have a Lean / 6 Sigma Yellow Belt (awareness certificate) or higher .
