A Logistics Assistant supports the smooth flow of goods by handling administrative and operational tasks like receiving/dispatching shipments, managing inventory, tracking deliveries, and communicating with suppliers/customers to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of products. Key duties involve processing documentation, coordinating with carriers, maintaining records, resolving issues, and assisting warehouse operations, bridging the gap between supply chain stages.
Responsibilities & Duties
Shipment Processing: Receiving, unpacking, verifying, and documenting incoming deliveries; preparing and dispatching outgoing orders with correct labels and packing lists.
Inventory Management: Tracking stock levels, arranging items on shelves, and reporting discrepancies or damages.
Coordination: Liaising with suppliers, carriers (couriers), and internal teams (sales, production) for smooth logistics.
Documentation & Reporting: Completing purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and generating performance reports.
Tracking & Monitoring: Monitoring shipments and updating recipients on delivery progress.
Problem Resolution: Assisting in resolving logistics-related issues, such as damaged or incorrect items.
Warehouse Support: Ensuring the facility is clean, organized, and assisting with general warehouse duties. Key Skills & Qualifications
