Responsibilities:
1. Vessel Operations Management
Manage vessel availability and scheduling to ensure timely loading and unloading of cargo.
Supervise port activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Coordinate with shipping lines to optimize vessel turnaround times.
2. Documentation Management
Oversee the completion of all documentation, including customs requirements, to facilitate smooth operations.
Implement processes for timely submission of shipping documents to avoid delays.
Monitor documentation compliance and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
3. Customer Relationship Management
Perform customer management activities to ensure high-quality service delivery and satisfaction.
Coordinate with customers to address any concerns related to service quality and provide timely solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback and service evaluations.
4. Technology and Digital Dexterity
Utilize digital tools for managing port operations and documentation processes to streamline workflows.
Implement software solutions to track vessel schedules and documentation status effectively.
5. Planning and Coordination
Manage liaison with production planning to align logistics operations with production schedules.
Coordinate vessel planning to optimize shipping schedules and minimize delays.
Implement rail planning (6-7 trains per day) in collaboration with Horizon (government) to ensure timely transportation.
6. Stock Management
Oversee stock-pile planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize excess.
Monitor stock levels regularly and implement measures for replenishment as necessary.
Perform quality checks before dispatch to ensure compliance with standards.
7. Performance Monitoring
Supervise logistics performance metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordinate with relevant departments to identify and address inefficiencies in logistics operations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through regular assessments and feedback loops.
8. Technology and Digital Dexterity
Leverage digital tools for inventory management and logistics planning to enhance operational efficiency.
Implement software solutions to monitor logistics performance and generate reports.
Office Timing - 8am to 5PM from Monday to Friday and 8am to 12:30 PM from Saturday
May required Australia for 2 to 4 weeks in year if needed.
Qualifications:
B.E. / B.Tech with minimum 6 years of exprience.
