London Dollar is seeking an experienced and result-oriented
Logistics Head
to lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations. The role involves overseeing transportation, warehousing, vendor coordination, and related support services to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and optimize all logistics and transportation operations.
Oversee inbound and outbound transportation, ensuring timely deliveries and cost control.
Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
Manage warehousing operations including storage, inventory movement, and dispatch.
Monitor logistics costs and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses.
Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and regulatory requirements related to logistics and transportation.
Develop and maintain SOPs for logistics operations and related services.
Handle vendor selection, negotiation, performance evaluation, and contract management.
Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to align logistics planning with business needs.
Resolve transportation issues, delays, damages, and customer complaints effectively.
Prepare and present logistics reports, MIS, and performance metrics to management.
Lead, train, and supervise the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum
4 years of hands-on experience
in logistics and transportation management.
Proven experience in managing transportation, warehousing, and related logistics services.
Strong knowledge of logistics operations, fleet management, and vendor handling.
Experience in cost optimization and process improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with logistics software, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
