Job Summary:

The Transport Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all transportation activities, including vehicle scheduling, routing, and driver assignments, to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transport operations. The role ensures compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and supports smooth day-to-day logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and coordinate transportation of employees, goods, and materials. Assign vehicles and drivers based on operational needs and priorities. Monitor and track vehicle usage, routes, mileage, and fuel consumption. Ensure compliance with traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance. Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections to ensure roadworthiness. Handle transport-related issues, delays, or emergencies promptly. Communicate effectively with drivers, staff, and management to ensure smooth operations. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and vendor/contractor management for transport services. Support compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). Minimum 2-4 years of experience in transportation or logistics coordination. Strong knowledge of transport regulations, routes, and fleet management. Good organizational and time-management skills. Proficient in MS Office and fleet management software (if applicable). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Valid driver's license (light/heavy vehicle license may be an advantage).
