: Localization Lead - IMEA, Lubrizol
Lubrizol is seeking a dynamic and experienced Localization Leader for the IMEA region. This role is pivotal in driving the localization strategy for manufacturing and developing local supply position for local markets for competitiveness. This role will coordinate alignment across Procurement, Operations, Strategy, Supply Chain and Process Technology functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall manufacturing localization portfolio, ensuring seamless execution of initiatives, and fostering synergies across various projects/sites/3PM to enhance operational efficiency, execution speed and regional competitiveness. Successful candidate will own KPIs linked to Localization in IMEA (Revenue, Cost Savings, Productivity etc)
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Portfolio Management

• Manage the overall manufacturing localization portfolio for the IMEA region considering global asset footprint, optimization of supply chains and need for HGR IMEA competitiveness
• Strategic view on Lubrizol material value chain (across RM to FGs) and 'be better every day' approach on the localization opportunities agenda
• Identify and implement opportunities to maximize value addition in existing Lubrizol assets in the region
• Develop and strategize supplier management and supplier relationships
• Develop and implement strategies to create synergies between various localization initiatives, in-house manufacturing and regional initiatives.
• Be a key partner in the make vs. Buy decision making process for localization
• Identify synergies between various Lubrizol businesses and common assets that can serve local needs of multiple businesses
• Liaison with global network optimization teams to align IMEA and global asset decisions
• Proactively monitor government incentives and align localization strategies
• Support business teams to prepare strategies by providing instant preliminary feasibility assessment

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, process technology and operations teams to execute localization initiatives effectively for local manufacturing and supply
• Engage with cross-functional teams to align localization goals with broader business objectives and strategies
• Coordinate with Process Technology teams for tech transfer and to bring deep understanding on technology / processing and make decision on best fit (Greenfield, tolling or contract manufacturing)
• Work with regional & global Process Safety and Trade Compliance teams to resolve regulatory issues

Project Management and Problem-solving approach

• Identify and remove roadblocks hindering the progress of localization projects in manufacturing. Share progress updates at required frequency and escalate issues at the right levels at the right time
• Monitor and report on the progress and impact of localization efforts. Drive time bound KPI driven progress reviews to ensure targets are met.

Compliance and Regulatory alignment

• Ensure compliance with regional regulations and standards in localization activities.
• Support providing current & future sourcing plan to fulfil Make in India requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related discipline)
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in manufacturing, strategy, operations, or supply chain.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of chemicals value chain
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
• Execution focused, has inherent bias for action
