Position Overview:



We are seeking a

Local SEO & GMB Specialist

who can amplify our clients' presence in local search results. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of how local search algorithms work, how to manage and optimize Google Business Profiles, and how to drive measurable improvements in Google maps, increased ranking of the store, enhanced visibility, organic traffic, and location-based engagement. This is a highly strategic and technical role that directly impacts client success.

Roles & Responsibilities:



Develop, execute, and manage

Local SEO strategies

to improve visibility in

Google's Local Pack, Google Maps, and organic local listings

. Deeply understand and apply the

core local ranking factors

including

relevance, distance, prominence, and behavioral signals

. Publish relevant

posts, offers, images, and updates

to enhance profile engagement on the GMB profile Conduct off page strategy for improving the ranking of the GMB. Develop and execute tailored

local SEO strategies

based on market competition and location. Ensure

NAP consistency

across local directories, aggregators, and citation sources. Conduct and implement

local keyword research

to target location-specific search queries. Create locally-optimized content including

service-area pages, city pages, and hyper-local blog posts

. Monitor and improve

local rankings

,

impressions

,

click-through rates

, and

call-to-action metrics

from GBP listings. Utilize tools such as

BrightLocal, Whitespark, Moz Local, Google Business Insights

, and

Google Search Console

for tracking and reporting. Implement

local structured data/schema markup

to improve SERP appearance. Manage and respond to

Google and third-party reviews

, and work to increase positive review volume. Collaborate

cross-functionally with content, and design

teams for campaign alignment. Stay updated on

Google algorithm updates

and evolving best practices in local search. Maintain online reputation management by raising ticket if there is a fake review and also respond all the reviews with right keywords

Performance Expectations



Deliver consistent improvement in Google Map Pack rankings for assigned clients. Increase monthly local search impressions, clicks, and call conversions through GBP. Maintain 100% NAP consistency across all platforms for every client profile. Ensure 100% accuracy and freshness of information across all GMB listings. Contribute to the agency's overall client satisfaction and retention goals. Identify at least one new local SEO tactic or test implementation per quarter. Achieve and maintain >90% response rate for client GBP reviews within 24-48 hours.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Business, or related field. Certification in SEO or digital marketing from platforms like Google, HubSpot, or SEMrush is a plus. Strong written English for review management and content posting. Basic understanding of HTML, CMS platforms, and SEO plugins like RankMath or Yoast (preferred).

Work Experience:



Minimum

1.5 years of hands-on experience

in

Local SEO

and

GBP/GMB optimization
