We are looking for a qualified Local Finance Controller with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and communicating with key stakeholders. This role involves maintaining statutory and legal compliance, as well as overseeing day-to-day financial operations including accounting, statutory filings, and coordination with auditors.


Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting: Maintain accurate books of accounts, journals, ledgers, and trial balance in line with Indian GAAP or IND-AS and US-GAAP Oversee payables, receivables, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Work with external accounting firms for tax compliance (TDS, GST, Income Tax).


Controller Responsibilities:

Own company-wide month-end close process, internal controls, and account reconciliations. Coordinate audit processes (statutory, tax, internal), and implement corrective actions. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with global finance teams. Support payroll inputs and statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, PT, etc.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Support:

Act as "right-hand" to VP of Finance as partner in the business on the overall company Assist with fundraising due diligence, compliance for ESOPs, and legal documentation. Act as the local point of contact for international HQ or investors for compliance and finance topics. Support vendor and customer onboarding with appropriate documentation and compliance checks.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Law; CA-Inter or MBA Finance is a plus. 3-8 years of experience across secretarial, accounting, and controller responsibilities.

Skills & Competencies:

Sound understanding of corporate law, FEMA, and financial reporting standards. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask across compliance and finance. Proficient in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, or similar accounting platforms. * Excellent communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and globally.
