As a Finance Operations Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day implementing production tools, managing processing activities, and performing adjustments, reconciliations, and data validations to support our firm's financial integrity.
Job responsibilities
Coordinate data collection and quarterly business results with various lines of business, Regulatory Controllers and reporting teams
Assist in the thorough assessment of the issues and outcomes. Clearly communicate financial information to the Stakeholder, and flag potential issues
Escalate issues as needed to the appropriate team(s) and management. Apply up-to-date product/industry/market knowledge in specialty areas of reporting. Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness; perform quarter-over-quarter variance analytics
Participate in various aspects for the production, review and filing of monthly, quarterly and annual reports for FFIEC, FDIC that are used by the regulators in, domestic and international portfolio positions
Adhere to proof & control procedures to ensure accurate reconciliation between regulatory filings. Adhere to various control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial results
Ensure accurate and complete data submission to the Regulators. Interpret and define regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external policies. Establish and manage relationships with the line of business as well as with external regulatory agency constituents through ongoing partnership and dialogue
Participate in continuous improvement effort around data quality review and external reporting improvement projects. Partner with Technology and various project teams designing new processes for implementation
Work in an Agile work stream while meeting program goals and deadlines
Support the operations team through the continuous on-boarding of strategic deliverables. Engage with line of business, operations, and project partners to gather process improvements
Manage relations, communicating and presenting to various levels of stakeholders. Solve for operational deficiencies by developing systemic or operational solutions
Develop knowledge of the architecture and technical aspects of the infrastructure
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
CA or MBA in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, and/or regulatory reporting
Excellent leadership, interpersonal and time management skills
Proven track record of large scale problem solving
Strong Microsoft Office experience
Project Management exposure
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information at varying levels of detail, depending on the audience, in a concise manner
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Able to develop, clearly present, and draw conclusions
This is not a people management role
Experience in Product Control, Financial Control or knowledge Reg reporting a plus
