Treasury/Chief Investment Office:

The Treasury and the Chief Investment Office (TCIO) within JPMorgan is responsible for firm wide asset and liability management for one of the world\'s largest global financial institutions with a $2.5 trillion balance sheet, including more than $900 billion in loans and $1.4 trillion in deposits. Because it sits at the very center of the firm, TCIO directly influences the composition of the firm\'s balance sheet as well the activities of the firm\'s four main lines of business (LOBs): Asset & Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Corporate & Investment Bank, and Consumer & Community Banking.

Corporate Treasury Middle Office:

The Corporate Treasury Middle Office (CTMO) team positioned within the Treasury & CIO (TCIO) organization and provides support for the Firm\'s liquidity (LRI) and structural interest rate risk (SIRR) reporting.

  • Centralized LOB Treasury function responsible for executing liquidity adjustments, reconciliations, data & report controls on behalf of all lines of business
  • Data controls executed on
450 daily feeds (~250m positions) * Risk-General ledger reconciliation control executed for

600 entities daily * Identify, triage, and fix recurring and spot data quality issues via adjustments
  • Implement system & operating model enhancements to meet and exceed global reporting SLAs (e.g., Acceleration of EMEA dataset for PRA-110 reporting) .Partner with various stakeholders globally to design new adjustments /sustainable solutions to meet regulatory demand. Partner with technology teams to prioritize, design and implement enhancements to the overall liquidity risk control framework (i.e., innovate/design new tools)
  • Manage/performing the functions of data quality & controls, change management and regulatory reporting to support daily Liquidity Risk management.. Build/manage the liquidity risk operations functions including training, performance reviews and talent development. Introduce new risk-based metrics system to effectively manage day to day activity and articulate bottlenecks for operational and business driven processes
  • Accountable for ensuring the team\'s adherence to daily liquidity risk SLAs for internal and external reporting. Team responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing, adjusting, and attesting to the quality of liquidity risk data daily across all entities in the firm
  • Performing product reconciliations & assist with daily balance sheet variance analysis
  • Performing data analysis to identify & implementing business validation rules to support transition to an exception based operating model
  • Determining business drivers behind variances and communicate impact to partner groups such as Liquidity Risk Oversight and Liquidity Management
  • Work with global CTMO peers, Technology, Program Management, and LOB stakeholders to continually improve the end-to-end operating model and data quality while delivering on strategic business objectives. This includes driving improvements to the LRI (Liquidity Risk Infrastructure) platform.
  • Identify improvements and leverage available toolsets (Alteryx, Xceptor, Abacus, Tableau, Excel, Access, Python) to own and implement changes through to completion. Continually identify and enhance the overall control environment and operating model across the core operational activities, improving timeliness and reducing operational risk to the firm. Prepare key performance indicators or metrics and present to senior management
  • Lead interactions with internal and external auditors and regulators as needed. The team is audited at least once a year and responds to several ad hoc regulatory requests
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • CA/Master\'s degree in finance, Accounting, Risk or related field
  • 8+ years\' experience in financial operations specifically in financial reporting, balance sheet analysis and\\or asset and liability or liquidity management
  • Experience in the liquidity risk domain, Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Internal stress testing is preferred
  • Knowledge in balance sheet products
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, multitask, and bring tasks to complete closure
  • Experience with ensuring a smooth transition of work functions/activities across locations in a large organization
  • Proven leadership experience including ability to facilitate project and process improvements across a large organization
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Strong technical skills (particularly in MS Excel). Experience with SQL, Python\\VBA, or data visualization tools such as Tableau are a plus
  • Independent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making talents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive level presentations.
