[ n Your Job The Linux Engineer will be a part of a global team that delivers networking, compute, storage, and collaboration capabilities for Koch Industries. Koch Technology Center (KTC) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the Koch Technology Center (KTC) over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant global exposure to the employees. Our Team The Linux Engineer will report to the Operations Team Lead of the KTC and will be part of a global team that is the level 2 and 3 for all server administration issues. The Linux Engineer will work with colleagues towards resolving complex issues with innovative and efficient solutions on Linux and UNIX based systems. The Linux Engineer is expected to work with third party providers, monitor performance, troubleshoot, and provide a superior client experience. Through monitoring and troubleshooting, the analyst will develop knowledge of the Koch Industries environment. What You Will Do xb7 xa0 xa0 xa0xa0 xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 Monitor system performance using standard tools (Logic Monitor), creating baselines, planning capacity, and tuning systems to achieve business required reliability and performance.xa0 Keep customers up to date and knowledgeable about what is happening with their server(s) xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Collaborate with remote plant personnel, vendors, and other IT teams to provide server support and consultation globally. xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Respond to Service Now tickets and notifications received to meet established business SLAu2019s xa0 xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Troubleshoot systems leveraging knowledge of supported server hardware xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Follow all change control processes and communicate across IT teams to eliminate risk and maintain level of service required xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Be able to configure SAN storage space on the supported servers. xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Working with digital workforce team or developers to bring in automation to regular mundane tasks and eliminate waste & improve efficiency. xb7 xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0xa0 xa0 Challenge the status quo and bring in new ideas and automation.
