Designation: Line Inspector

Roles and Responsibility:

Inspecting products -

Using tools like

calipers, micrometers, and gauges

to measure products and identify defects

Testing materials -

Performing visual and measurement tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products

Recommending changes-

Suggesting adjustments to production processes or assembly based on inspection results

Recording results-

Documenting inspection results in reports and logs, and inputting data into a quality database

Maintaining equipment-

Keeping measurement equipment in working order by following operating instructions and calling for repairs

Training team members-

Teaching production team members how to improve product quality

Complying with standards-

Ensuring that all products comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and company standards

Maintaining a safe work environment-

Following safety and personal protection equipment requirements, and complying with legal regulations
