Role Summary

Responsible for managing and executing testing operations for Prismatic cells, modules, and battery packs, ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Operate and oversee cell/module/pack testing machines (Cyclers, IR/OCV testers, HV testers). Plan and execute charge-discharge tests, capacity tests, safety tests, and performance evaluations. Monitor testing conditions and ensure all tests follow SOP and safety standards. Analyse test results, identify abnormalities, and coordinate with Quality and Production teams. Troubleshoot testing issues and ensure minimal downtime of testing equipment. Maintain daily testing reports, logs, and traceability data. Manage testing fixtures, jigs, and ensure calibration of instruments. Support validation of new cells, modules, packs, and engineering changes. Train operators on testing procedures and safe battery handling.

Skills Required

Strong understanding of cell/module/pack electrical testing. Knowledge of testing equipment: IR tester, HV tester, cyclers, insulation testers. Ability to read and interpret test results, graphs, and reports. Basic understanding of BMS, voltage/current behaviour, and safety limits. Good analytical, coordination, and documentation skills.

Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech (Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics). 3-6 years' experience in battery testing or EV/BESS production.
