Job Description

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Line Inspector to join our quality team. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent diploma graduate in Engineering who is eager to start a career in the manufacturing sector. The Line Inspector will be responsible for conducting in-process quality checks and assisting the production team to ensure that all parts and components meet quality standards and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

In-Process Inspection

: Perform first-off, in-process, and last-off inspections on precision stamped components at various stages of the manufacturing process (e.g., blanking, forming, deep drawing). Use precision measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and check fixtures to verify dimensions against engineering drawings. Conduct visual inspections to identify surface defects such as scratches, dents, cracks, or improper welds.

Production Support:

Actively assist the production team in ensuring the line runs smoothly and as per the daily schedule/plan. Collaborate with operators to resolve minor quality issues on the spot to minimize downtime.

Documentation & Reporting

: Accurately record inspection results in the specified quality logs and reports.o Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) for any parts or processes that do not meet the quality standards.o Assist in maintaining quality documentation and records on the shop floor.

Quality Compliance:

Ensure that production operators are following the correct procedures and work instructions.Immediately report any quality issues or process deviations to the Shift Supervisor or Quality Engineer

Assist in basic root cause analysis for identified defects.

Equipment Management:

Handle and maintain inspection and measuring equipment with care. Ensure that all gauges and instruments used are within their calibration dates.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Skills: Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications. Hands-on experience with standard measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.). A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with basic quality concepts or tools. Prior internship or experience in a sheet metal or automotive component industry.
Work Schedule & Benefits

Shift Timings:

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Overtime: The role requires a daily commitment of 2 hours of overtime.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
