Job Summary:

The Commis I is responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of food items as per the restaurant's standards. The role requires supporting senior chefs, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring high-quality food preparation, especially authentic Kerala cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes as per the menu and recipes Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and Head Chef Ensure food quality, taste, and portion standards are maintained Prepare ingredients including cleaning, cutting, marinating, and portioning Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times Properly store food items and ensure minimal wastage Support the team during busy service hours Comply with hotel/restaurant policies and procedures

Requirements & Skills:

Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role Knowledge of Kerala cuisine is preferred Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player with good communication skills Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications:

Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (preferred) Relevant kitchen experience in a restaurant or hotel

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
