Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Lift Design Engineer

to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and customization of elevator and lift systems in accordance with regulatory standards and client specifications. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including Architects, Structural Engineers, manufacturing, installation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design passenger, freight, and bespoke lift systems using Revit CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) Develop mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, and detailed component drawings Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations (EN 81, ISO, ASME A17.1, etc.) Customize designs to meet client requirements, building constraints, and safety standards Provide technical support to sales and project teams during tendering and execution stages Conduct structural calculations and load analyses Review and revise designs based on feedback, site constraints, or regulation changes Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to select suitable components Support installation and commissioning teams with technical documentation and troubleshooting

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience in lift/elevator design or vertical transportation systems (2-5 years preferred) Proficiency in Revit/CAD software and engineering tools Strong knowledge of lift components, systems, and operation Familiarity with international lift standards (EN, ISO, ASME) Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable Skills:

Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) Understanding of electrical control systems and PLCs in lifts Knowledge of fire and evacuation lift design Previous work on MRL (Machine Room-Less) lifts or bespoke lift systems
