Role Overview

As a Tech Lead, you will architect, design, and deliver robust enterprise portal solutions built on Liferay DXP. You will mentor developers while hands?on implementing custom portlets, themes, integrations, and maintaining high standards of performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Liferay portal solutions (DXP/Portal 6.x-7.x) Architect module-based portlets (MVC/Spring MVC), themes, hooks, layouts, and custom extensions Integrate Liferay with external systems (REST/SOAP, SSO, BI tools) Ensure portal performance via JVM tuning, clustering, caching, and security best practices Author technical specs, architectural diagrams, and maintain detailed documentation Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practice across the team Mentor junior developers and coordinate with cross-functional teams (UI/UX, QA, DevOps, PMs) Participate across the SDLC: requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support Drive CI/CD processes around build tools (Maven/Gradle, Ant), server deployment, and DevOps workflows (Jenkins, Azure, Git)

Required Qualifications

8+ years in Java/J2EE development and portal technologies 5+ years hands?on Liferay DXP/Portal development (including portlets, themes, hooks, layouts) Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring/Spring MVC, Hibernate; front?end web tech (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, React/AlloyUI) Strong experience in web services (REST/SOAP), SSO (SAML/OAuth), and middleware integration JVM performance optimization, clustering, and tuning expertise Skilled in CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and version control (Git) Experience mentoring teams, leading code reviews, and maintaining code quality Excellent problem?solving, communication, and stakeholder?management abilities
