Job Summary



The Librarian is responsible for managing library resources, assisting users in locating information, maintaining collections, and promoting reading and research skills. The role supports learning, teaching, and information literacy in a safe and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities



Organize, catalog, and maintain books, journals, and digital resources Assist users in finding information and using library systems Issue and return library materials and maintain records Maintain a quiet, welcoming, and orderly library environment Recommend books and resources based on user needs Support reading programs, research projects, and library events Manage library software and digital databases Ensure proper care and security of library materials

Required Skills & Qualifications



Degree or diploma in Library Science or related field Good organizational and record-keeping skills Basic computer and database knowledge Strong communication and interpersonal skills Interest in books, learning, and research Attention to detail and time management

Preferred Skills



Experience working in a school, college, or public library Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g., Dewey Decimal System) Ability to guide students or users in research

Work Environment



Libraries, schools, colleges, or public institutions Calm, indoor setting with regular interaction with users

Pay: ₹15,229.03 - ₹20,859.68 per month
