ANNA ADARSH COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, located in Anna Nagar, Chennai is looking for Librarian.

Qualification:

A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation is required, typically with a minimum of 55% marks. A Ph.D. in the field is often a desirable qualification

Eligibility:

Candidates must have qualified the

National Eligibility Test (NET

) or an equivalent state-level test

(SET/SLET)

conducted by the UGC or an approved agency or

Ph.D. in Library Science

.

Computer literacy and knowledge of library management software are also mandatory.

Roles and Responsibilities

Overseeing all library operations, including budgeting, staff management, and policy development. Building and maintaining a relevant and up-to-date collection of print and digital resources. Providing reference and information services to library users. Managing the library's cataloging, classification, and metadata creation. Implementing and managing library automation systems, digital repositories, and other library technologies.
