Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the school library
Catalog and maintain books, periodicals, and digital resources
Guide students in locating and selecting age-appropriate reading materials
Organize reading programs, book fairs, and library events
Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment in the library
Support teachers with reference materials and teaching aids
Maintain records of book issues/returns using library management systems
Promote a reading culture through displays, activities, and book reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Library Science (B.Lib./M.Lib.)
Minimum 2 years of experience in a school library preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with library software and digital tools
Passion for books and working with children
