Job Summary

Satyam Shivam Sundaram Group of Institutions, Gaurichak, Patna is seeking a qualified and dedicated

Librarian

to efficiently manage and organize the library resources of the institution. The candidate should have strong knowledge of library management systems, cataloguing, and academic resources, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

Organize and maintain books, journals, digital resources, and learning materials. Manage cataloguing, classification, and indexing of resources using library management systems. Assist students, faculty, and staff in accessing required information and resources. Supervise circulation of library materials (issue, return, renewal). Maintain proper records of issued and returned items. Guide students in research, references, and online databases. Manage subscriptions of e-resources, journals, and digital libraries. Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare usage reports. Promote reading habits and digital literacy among students. Ensure proper care, security, and discipline within the library premises.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib) or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Librarian. Proficiency in library management software and digital resources. Strong organizational and cataloguing skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of modern digital library systems and e-learning platforms.
