The Librarian is responsible for managing library operations, maintaining learning resources, supporting students and staff, and ensuring effective access to academic and reference materials.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day library operations and services
Organize, catalog, and classify books, journals, digital resources, and reference materials
Assist students and faculty in locating and using library resources
Maintain accurate records of book issue, return, and inventory
Ensure a quiet, safe, and student-friendly library environment
Plan and implement library rules, policies, and schedules
Coordinate procurement of new books and learning materials as per curriculum needs
Maintain digital library systems and library management software
Conduct library orientation sessions for students
Ensure proper upkeep, cleanliness, and security of library assets
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with library management systems and MS Office
Attention to detail and discipline enforcement abilities
Interest in reading, research, and academic support
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library & Information Science (B.Lib / M.Lib)
1-3 years of experience as a Librarian
Experience in an educational institution preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
