Job Description

We are searching for a well-organized, qualified and committed candidate to join our excellent faculty as a Librarian for the Academic Year 2024-25. He/She will be in charge of the school library, its management and services. Should be able to use innovative techniques to inculcate the reading habit among students.

Skill Requirements:

Proven experience as a Librarian with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a school library.



Graduation or Post Graduation in Library or Information Science from a recognized university.



An ardent reader with a flair for reading books of various genres.



Thorough knowledge of the functioning of a library along with the use of technology in record keeping.



Updated knowledge in selecting and indenting new materials to ensure a current and balanced collection representing diverse points of view.



Ability to help students develop attitudes, habits, and skills that will enable them to become lifelong readers and learners.



Teaches / models current, innovative methodology, provides group and individual instruction in information literacy skills, through the use of available resources.



Actively promotes reading and library use through activities such as storytelling, booktalks, displays, publications, reading programs and special events.



Possesses an innate interest to involve in continuous professional development to be abreast with the latest developments in the field.



A team player who works in collaboration with the teachers in bringing out the best in the students where enhancing their literary skills is concerned.



Excellent written and verbal communication



Undertakes special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when required.
