Job Description

Role of an Estate Manager

Job location : West Bengal

1. Property & Facility Management

Oversee day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of all estate properties (buildings, grounds, and infrastructure). Ensure proper functioning of utilities like water, electricity, HVAC, waste management, and security systems. Supervise repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance schedules.

2. Vendor & Staff Supervision

Manage housekeeping, security, landscaping, and maintenance teams. Hire, train, and monitor service providers (electricians, plumbers, gardeners, pest control, etc.). Ensure vendors meet service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintain cost efficiency.

Handle grievances if any with third person and staff and communicate immediately

3. Legal & Government Compliance

Ensure all estate-related licenses, permits, and renewals are in place (property tax, fire NOC, building compliance, etc.). Liaise with local government bodies, municipal authorities, and contractors. Maintain up-to-date documentation of all estate owned farming lands and buildings
?

4. Financial Management

Prepare and monitor the estate maintenance budget. Control operational expenses and negotiate vendor rates. Maintain records for utility payments, lease agreements, and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).

5. Safety & Security Management

Ensure robust safety standards and protocols across the premises. Supervise security personnel, CCTV systems, and visitor management.

6. Estate Development & Optimization

Plan improvements and enhancements to increase the estate's value and efficiency. Oversee construction or refurbishment projects. Identify cost-saving opportunities in energy use, waste management, and space utilization.

7. Communication & Coordination

Act as the single point of contact between the estate owners, residents (if applicable), government bodies, and service providers. Handle complaints or issues quickly and diplomatically. Prepare periodic status reports for management.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and people management skills. Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and compliance laws. Financial planning and budgeting ability. Vendor negotiation and coordination skills.

Must be trustworthy , disciplined and respectful to all cultural heritage
