Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Liaison Officer to act as the official representative of The Divine Touch School with government authorities. The primary objective of this role is to secure necessary permissions, manage regulatory compliance, and maintain positive working relationships with the District Educational Officer (DEO), Mandal Educational Officer (MEO), and other government departments in Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government Liaison & Representation:

Act as the single point of contact between the school and government bodies, specifically the Office of the District Educational Officer (DEO), Regional Joint Director (RJD), and Mandal Educational Officer (MEO). Represent the school in person during official summons, inspections, or administrative meetings at government offices. Build and maintain professional rapport with officials to facilitate the smooth processing of files. Work on Liasoning with the Electricity Department, the Fire Department, Traffic Police Office, GVMC.
2. Licensing & Permissions (Compliance):

School Recognition: Manage the end-to-end process for the Extension of Temporary Recognition (ETR) or Permanent Recognition. This includes drafting applications, compiling documents, and submitting files to the DEO/RJD offices. NOC & Affiliation: If applicable, handle the process for obtaining the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the State Government for CBSE/ICSE affiliation. Building & Safety Compliance: Coordinate with the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), Fire Department, and Health Department to renew essential certificates annually: Fire No Objection Certificate (Fire NOC). Sanitary / Health Certificate. Structural Stability / Soundness Certificate. Traffic / Police Police Clearance (if required for buses).
3. Documentation & Reporting:

Draft official letters, cover notes, and replies to Memo notices issued by the Education Department. Ensure timely submission of annual administrative reports and staff statements to the regulatory bodies. Maintain a precise calendar of expiry dates for all school licenses and initiate renewal processes at least 3 months in advance.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience working as a Liaison Officer, Office Superintendent, or Senior Clerk in a reputed school or college in Andhra Pradesh. Local Knowledge: Mandatory fluency in Telugu (Read/Write/Speak) to communicate effectively with local officials and read government circulars (G.O.s). Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the AP Education Department's hierarchy, the role of the DEO/MEO, and the specific G.O.s (Government Orders) governing private school recognitions in AP. Soft Skills: High levels of patience, persistence, and diplomacy. Must be willing to travel frequently to government offices within Vizag. Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Word (for drafting letters) and scanning/organizing documents.
