Role Summary
: The Liaison Officer will be responsible for managing all coordination and communication between the real estate firm and government authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, consultants and other external stakeholders. Liaison Officer needs to ensure timely approvals, compliance with statutory requirements, smooth project execution and effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Liaison & Approvals
Coordinate with government departments such as Town Planning, Municipal Corporation, Development Authority, Pollution Control Board, Revenue Department, Fire Department, RERA, etc.
Obtain necessary NOCs, licenses, permits and approvals for land acquisition, project development, construction and completion.
Track and manage approval timelines to ensure on-schedule project execution.
Compliance Management
Ensure all real estate projects comply with applicable statutory norms, building codes, environmental guidelines and RERA regulations.
Prepare, compile and submit required documentation, drawings and applications.
Maintain updated knowledge of changes in laws, policies or regulations affecting real estate development.
Coordination & Documentation
Liaise between internal teams (legal, engineering, planning, design, sales) and government agencies.
Maintain detailed records of applications, follow-ups, approvals, and correspondence.
Assist in land due diligence, title clearances, and vetting of legal documents with support from the legal team.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key officials, consultants, surveyors, and regulatory bodies.
Represent the company at meetings, inspections, hearings, and government proceedings.
Project Support
Support land acquisition teams with revenue records, mutation processes, and land conversion approvals.
Ensure smooth facilitation during site visits, inspections, and audits by authorities.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Civil Engineering, Law, Urban Planning, or a related field.
3-10+ years of experience in liaisoning, preferably in the real estate or infrastructure sector.
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of approval processes related to residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong networking abilities and government interface experience. Knowledge of land laws, real estate regulations, and statutory processes.
Ability to manage documentation and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
