We are looking for an experienced and well-connected
Senior Liaison Officer
with over 15 years of experience in managing government relations, legal coordination, and regulatory affairs. The ideal candidate should have strong networking abilities with key stakeholders such as
government departments, municipal authorities (BMC), legal professionals, and regulatory bodies
. This role demands a proactive individual who can not only ensure smooth statutory processes but also contribute significantly to
business development
through strategic relationship-building and facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with
government officials, municipal bodies (e.g., BMC), legal advisors, urban local authorities, and other regulatory agencies
.
Facilitate timely approvals, NOCs, licenses, and clearances for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Represent the company in discussions with
statutory bodies, legal entities, and enforcement authorities
, ensuring compliance and safeguarding company interests.
Monitor and stay updated on relevant
laws, policies, and regulations
, ensuring timely action and compliance.
Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Projects, Planning, Business Development) for documentation, legal follow-ups, and issue resolution.
Proactively identify and pursue
business opportunities
through liaison efforts and relationship networks.
Handle conflict resolution with local authorities, government offices, and legal matters efficiently and discreetly.
Maintain organized records of government communications, approvals, and correspondence.
Act as a trusted advisor to management on liaison and legal strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field.
Minimum
15 years of experience
in liaison, government relations, or legal coordination roles.
Proven track record of working closely with
BMC, Town Planning, Urban Development Authorities, Pollution Boards, and other government bodies
.
Strong
legal and regulatory knowledge
applicable to real estate, infrastructure, or urban development projects.
Excellent
networking and relationship-building skills
with government officials and legal professionals.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently, handle sensitive matters discreetly, and drive outcomes under tight timelines.
Fluent in
English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Preferred Qualities:
Existing strong network of contacts in BMC, DCP office, Collector's office, Urban Development bodies, and other statutory agencies.
Prior experience in
real estate, infrastructure, or large-scale urban development
companies.
High degree of integrity, accountability, and professional maturity.
