Position Overview:
The Liaison Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all statutory approvals, permissions, and clearances related to real estate projects from various government departments and regulatory bodies. The role requires strong networking skills, in-depth knowledge of real estate laws and approval processes, and the ability to maintain smooth communication between the company and government authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Liaison & Approvals
Coordinate with government departments such as Town & Country Planning (DTCP), Municipal Corporation, Development Authorities, Revenue Department, Pollution Control Board, Fire Department, Environment Ministry, and others for obtaining statutory approvals.
Facilitate timely submission of applications, drawings, and other documents required for project approvals, renewals, and compliance.
Track and follow up on the status of approvals to ensure timelines are met for project execution.
Maintain strong working relationships with officials and departments to ensure smooth operations.
2. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all legal and regulatory compliances are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain and update a database of all licenses, permissions, renewals, and approval documents.
Coordinate with legal and technical teams to ensure accurate documentation for submissions.
Monitor expiry dates of permissions and ensure timely renewals.
3. Coordination & Communication
Act as a bridge between internal teams (Design, Planning, Legal, and Projects) and government authorities.
Provide regular updates to management on approval status, risks, and dependencies.
Support in resolving queries raised by authorities and provide clarifications as required.
4. Strategic Support
Advise management on regulatory developments and potential impact on upcoming projects.
Identify changes in policy, rules, or procedures that may affect the company's operations.
Assist in due diligence during land acquisition and new project feasibility assessments.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong liaisoning and networking abilities with government and statutory bodies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
Thorough knowledge of real estate approval processes, urban development laws, and building bye-laws.
Good understanding of documentation, compliance, and legal frameworks.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office and document management.
