Lending - QA Engineer (m/w/d) for credit applications Position Overview Job Title- Jr. QA Engineer Location- Pune Role Description The business which this development team is supporting is the lending department within Private Bank Germany. The whole life cycle for mortgage and consumer loans as well as securitization solutions for these loans is covered within the department and supported by the several teams. In the last years we have developed a service layer for common development tasks, the Lending Service Layer (LSL). The Lending Service Layer provides a set of well defined, structured and reusable Lending Services (APIs) for all internal and external stakeholders. The LSL is in a steady expanding mode to integrate and offer services in a dynamical evolving environment. To extend and maintain these services, an experienced Java Developer is required. This role includes the design, implementation and administration of J2SE/J2EE application code to support business, functional and technical requirements. Furthermore, it includes the analysis of new requirements and supporting business analysts in specifying them in a way that drives reusability and assures that the overall designs are consistent with industry best practices (including scalability, availability, maintainability and flexibility) and in line with the overall LSL architecture. In case of application issues, the developer should work on analysing those issues and to neutralize their impacts. As an Engineer he is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of the components, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and the LSL environment. Version control artifacts using Bitbucket, Git Hub, Perforce, SVN or any other version control tools Schedule automation scripts based on Release cycles. Review daily smoke test reports, and Regression test reports. Analyse test failures and raise issues/defects to respective Dev teams. Update / Fix test scripts as per the functionality changes Achieve good test coverage Quality Must have good knowledge of the software test best practises and industry standard tools Maintaining testing standards and ensure that they adhered to, as well as proactively trying to add these standards whenever possible. Taking pride in the quality of software delivered for each iteration and release. Communication Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, project members, managers and end users. Must be able to participate in the discussions within the team, communicating any issues that have a project-wide scope to the necessary level Must be able to participate in a culture of \'knowledge sharing\' with the development team. Your Skills and Experience: Must Have You are a senior QA resource with: 5+ Years of functional testing experience Good understanding and knowledge of automation testing methodologies Good Knowledge of the following test management tools: HP ALM, JIRA Good Knowledge and exposure of API Automation Testing Good knowledge of programming languages: JAVA or Python Good knowledge on testing life cycle Knowledge in test data maintenance Strong working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS databases Good knowledge on Unix /Linux environments and basic Unix shell scripting Quick learner Ability to prioritise and organise Results driven - able to deliver good quality accurate solutions to tight time-scales Conscientious - Always give 100% to tasks assigned Versatile - Able to multi-task Team Player - Must be able to work with and participate within a large professional team Professional - Expect to work the hours the job demands Good communication skills Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills It would be desirable for the candidate to have ISEB Software Testing Certification - Foundation /Intermediate /Practitioner Automated testing skills e.g. Selenium, Rest Assured, Cucumber Build tools like Maven Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, teamcity, etc Working experience in API Automation and related toolset You must be highly motivated with an eye for detail, strong communication skills and a track record of delivering successful projects into production. Experience / Qualifications: Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience as QA Engineer within the IT support industry, experience in financial industry preferred.
