Job Description

A Real Estate Legal Support Officer drafts/reviews property contracts, ensures compliance with property laws (like RERA), conducts due diligence, manages litigation, negotiates terms, and coordinates with external counsel, focusing on smooth, legally sound property transactions for acquisitions, sales, leases, and development. They act as a bridge between legal teams, management, and regulatory bodies, handling documentation and risk management.
Key Responsibilities

• Document Management: Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts (purchase, lease, mortgage), deeds, and agreements.
• Compliance: Ensuring all transactions adhere to local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations (e.g., RERA).
• Due Diligence: Conducting thorough legal checks for property acquisitions and sales.
• Legal Advice: Providing internal guidance on property matters, risks, and best practices.
• Negotiation: Representing the company in property deal negotiations.
• Dispute Resolution: Assisting with managing and resolving property-related disputes and litigation.
• Liaison: Coordinating with external lawyers, government authorities, and internal departments.
• Research: Staying updated on property law changes and researching legal aspects of projects.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Law degree (LLB).
• Experience: Proven experience in real estate law/transactions.
• Knowledge: Strong grasp of property laws, contract drafting, and due diligence processes.
• Skills: Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and attention to detail.
