The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both HR practices and employment law, with a keen eye for identifying compliance risks and policy gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Review & Audit:
Conduct periodic audits of existing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
Identify discrepancies, outdated clauses, or compliance risks, and recommend appropriate updates or changes.
Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes related to labor and employment law, and proactively incorporate updates into company policies.
Work closely with the legal team to interpret and apply legal and regulatory requirements to HR processes.
Policy Development & Standardization:
Draft, review, and standardize HR policies and SOPs across all business units to ensure clarity, legal compliance, and organizational consistency.
Support new policy creation in line with company objectives and legal standards.
Internal Collaboration & Advisory:
Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, and Internal Audit to ensure cohesive policy implementation and audit readiness.
Act as a subject matter expert to HR teams and business units on policy interpretation and compliance concerns.
Training & Communication:
Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on HR policies and compliance requirements.
Ensure effective communication of policy changes to employees and management.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all policy reviews, changes, and audits conducted.
Provide regular reports to leadership on policy compliance status and risks.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's or LLB/LLM preferred).
4-6 years of experience in HR compliance, legal HR, or policy audit roles.
Solid understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance frameworks.
Experience in policy drafting, compliance audits, and working with legal teams.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., fintech, tech).
Familiarity with ISO audits, internal controls, or risk assessments is a plus.
