Ratnakar India Limited, a leading name in the agrochemical industry, is seeking a Legal & Patent Executive to manage and oversee legal matters involving employee and vendor disputes, patent management, and regulatory compliance. This role will require extensive knowledge of legal practices within the agrochemical sector, a focus on protecting intellectual property, and a commitment to upholding industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee & Vendor Case Management
- Handle legal disputes involving employees and vendors, including employment contracts, dispute resolutions, non-compete clauses, and terminations.
- Investigate claims or complaints from employees and vendors, working to resolve issues through mediation or legal proceedings when necessary.
- Ensure that all employee and vendor agreements comply with the company's standards and relevant legal requirements.
2. Patent & IP Management
- Oversee patents and intellectual property related to agrochemical products, ensuring protection of company innovations and adherence to IP laws.
- Work closely with external patent attorneys on filings, renewals, and infringement cases to safeguard the company's proprietary formulations and processes.
3. Compliance & Regulatory Management
- Ensure that the company complies with agrochemical regulations, including safe handling, product labeling, and environmental standards.
- Manage regulatory filings for new products and maintain updated records for existing products in compliance with state and national laws.
4. State-wise Visits
- Conduct visits to various states as necessary for court appearances, compliance checks, or consultations with local regulatory bodies.
- Act as a representative of the company in regulatory discussions, audits, and legal proceedings across state jurisdictions.
5. Commencement Attendance & Legal Proceedings
- Attend commencements or industry-specific legal proceedings to stay informed about regulatory changes that could impact the company.
- Represent the company during hearings or coordinate with external counsel for cases requiring court attendance.
6. Coordination with Legal Teams
- Collaborate with in-house and external legal teams to prepare for litigation, compliance, and intellectual property cases.
- Maintain regular communication with legal partners and advisors to ensure timely resolution of cases involving employees, vendors, or IP.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent) with specialization in intellectual property or corporate law preferred.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a legal role, ideally within the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of IP law, employee/vendor dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance in the agrochemical sector.
Competencies:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across different regions.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel for state-wise visits, court appearances, and other regulatory obligations.
