Key ResponsibilitiesContract Vetting & Drafting
Review, draft, and finalize commercial agreements, service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, lease documents, and other legal instruments.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and legal soundness in all contracts.
Identify risks, liabilities, and ambiguities; recommend risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure contracts comply with internal policies and statutory requirements.
MoU Evaluation & Finalization
Vet MoUs for partners, vendors, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Ensure clear definition of responsibilities, deliverables, financial terms, and timelines.
Recommend changes to protect organizational interests.
Legal Advisory & Support
Provide legal opinions and support to internal teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Procurement, etc.).
Assist teams in negotiations and execution of agreements.
Address legal queries and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain an updated repository of legal documents and templates.
Support compliance requirements such as stamping, registration, and notarization.
Track and ensure timely renewal, modification, and closure of agreements.
Risk Management
Identify legal risks and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
Monitor regulatory updates and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (
LLB / LLM
) from a recognized institution.
Experience
2-6 years
of experience in corporate legal functions, preferably in contract vetting and legal documentation.
Skills
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal teams.
Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation tools.
