Job Description

Assist and guide Community Facilitators/Mobilisers (PLVs) in registering FIR of the GBV cases.

Approach the court directly as per as per consultation with the organization and file complaints for taking cognizance of GBV cases in cases where the police are not registering the FIR or are not taking the required legal action on the complaints of the survivors.

Assist in getting statement of the victim under Section 188 of BNS recorded as per laid down norms.

Ensuring that proper legal procedure is followed in cases, MLC of the victims conducted in proper manner and protection to the victims provided where necessary.

Ensure the victim in getting financial assistance for their medical treatment from the concerned agencies and file applications in the Court.

Shall meet the victims in order to provide them sustained counselling, orient them with the legal procedures and other kinds of support they may require.

File applications for providing protection to the victims and their families if required.

Attend all proceedings of the case in the trial court and provide assistance in the following ways

Assist in framing of charges under appropriate sections;

Assists the public prosecutors in opposing bail applications of the accused;

Assists the court in recording of the evidence of the victim and other witnesses;

Provide daily updates to the organization and ensure strict compliance of SOPs on all above aspects.

Represent the survivors in court hearings.

Conducting legal awareness sessions on laws related to protection of women from GBVs.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹51,187.88 per month
