Legal & Compliance Processing Officer - Male Candidates
Location
Bengaluru / Mumbai (or as per requirement) -- travel to local / regulatory bodies / branch locations as required.
Experience Required
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in legal compliance, licence/permit processing or regulatory clearance work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end processes for obtaining licences, permits and clearances from local bodies and regulatory authorities (municipal, statutory, trade/industry-specific, etc.).
Liaise with government departments, local authorities and external agencies to submit applications, follow up on approvals, renewals, and ensure timely compliance.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all licences, permits and regulatory clearances; track expiry/renewal dates and notify management well before deadlines.
Draft, review and process necessary legal/compliance documentation, forms, applications, and correspondence required for licences and clearances.
Monitor regulatory and statutory changes relevant to the business; ensure internal processes and documentation remain compliant.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, projects, management) to ensure that compliance or licence requirements are integrated into business planning.
Support internal audits and compliance reviews to verify that all regulatory obligations are met.
Provide regular status reports to management on pending and obtained licences, renewals, and compliance status.
Occasionally represent the company in meetings with authorities or external agencies if required.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or related field. (Additional qualification such as LLM, Corporate Law, or compliance certification preferred.)
Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in licence/permit processing, regulatory compliance, or legal administration.
Strong knowledge of local regulatory and statutory requirements (municipal laws, trade licence, environmental, local body regulations, etc.).
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills -- able to interact with government authorities and internal stakeholders.
High attention to detail, strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines and follow-up with regulatory authorities.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel) and comfort working with regulatory portals or online application systems.
Willingness to travel as required, sometimes at short notice.
