About the Role:

We are seeking a

Legal Assistant

with a minimum of

1 year of hands-on experience in U.S. Bankruptcy matters

. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures, court filings, and related legal documentation. This role demands excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced legal process outsourcing (LPO) environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys and paralegals in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements, and other relevant documents. Review client documents and ensure all required information is accurate and complete. Draft motions, notices, and correspondence for bankruptcy proceedings. Manage case files, maintain deadlines, and update case management systems. Coordinate with clients, trustees, and courts regarding case-related inquiries and updates. Perform legal research and summarize findings related to bankruptcy laws and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. bankruptcy rules and court requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum

1 year of experience working on U.S. Bankruptcy cases

in an LPO or law firm. Familiarity with bankruptcy-related software and tools (e.g., Best Case, CIN compass, etc.) is a plus. Strong knowledge of U.S. Bankruptcy Code and court procedures. Excellent drafting, communication, and legal documentation skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law or related field. Prior experience supporting U.S.-based attorneys remotely.
