Research:
Conduct legal and background research to gather information for cases.
Trial support:
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, which may include organizing exhibits and preparing case materials.
Administrative support:
Perform general office duties such as managing calls, emails, and billing entry.
Required skills and qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma is required, and an associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies is often preferred. Some roles may require a bachelor's degree.
Technical proficiency:
Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with legal-specific software like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
Organizational skills:
Meticulous attention to detail and strong ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Communication skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for interacting with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
