Job Summary



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Legal Assistant

to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist with both administrative and legal tasks, including

document preparation, legal research, client communication, and case management

. This role is essential in helping our attorneys operate efficiently and deliver high-quality legal services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare, draft, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, subpoenas, and briefs.

Review and verify

legal documents and land-related paperwork

, including

property records and land claim documentation

.

Conduct

land-related case identification

, analyze disputes, and gather relevant supporting documentation.

Perform

copyright checks

and assist with intellectual property-related documentation.

Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review.

Maintain and organize files, documents, and case materials (both electronic and physical).

Schedule appointments, court dates, depositions, and meetings.

Communicate with clients, courts, and other legal professionals to obtain or relay information.

File legal documents with courts or relevant agencies, including

e-filing

.

Maintain case management systems and track critical deadlines.

Assist attorneys with

trial preparation

, including organizing exhibits and compiling case files.

Support attorneys in

land claim court cases

and related legal proceedings.

Qualifications



Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or certification in

Legal Studies

or

Paralegal Studies

preferred.

1-3 years of experience in a legal environment (law firm, in-house legal, or government legal department).

Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures,

court systems

, and document handling.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g.,

Clio, LexisNexis, Westlaw

).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle

confidential and sensitive information

with integrity.

Preferred Qualifications



Paralegal certification.

Experience in specific legal areas such as

litigation, corporate law, family law, real estate

, or

land disputes

.

Bilingual abilities depending on client base.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
