About the Role

Utkarsh Global Foundation is seeking an experienced and proactive

Legal Advisor

to manage a wide range of legal matters including litigation, contracts, criminal cases, and compliance related to environmental laws. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom experience, the ability to independently handle police station matters, and the flexibility to travel extensively for legal proceedings across different states.

Key Responsibilities

Handle litigation matters including civil, criminal, and environmental cases. Draft, review, and vet legal contracts, MOUs, agreements, and other legal documents. Represent the organization in courts, legal hearings, government departments, and external bodies. Manage police station matters, including filing complaints, statements, and follow-ups. Provide legal opinions, risk assessments, and strategic advice on ongoing and new legal issues. Ensure compliance with state and national laws, including environment-related regulations. Coordinate with external lawyers, legal authorities, and regulatory bodies. Travel extensively within and outside Maharashtra for court appearances, hearings, case follow-ups, and legal matters. Maintain detailed documentation and records of all legal proceedings and contracts.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM). 5-10 years of relevant experience in litigation and legal advisory roles. Strong knowledge of: Criminal law Civil litigation Legal contracts and agreements Police station procedures Environment laws and regulatory compliance Experience handling court cases in states outside Maharashtra (preferred). Ability to draft and review contracts independently with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and decision-making capability. Willingness and ability to travel extensively for legal work. Strong professionalism, integrity, and ability to work under pressure.
