LEGAL ADVISOR

for its group in Chennai.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) - Mandatory

Experience

Minimum

5-10 years

of legal experience Prior experience in

educational institutions, trusts, or corporate legal advisory

is highly desirable
Responsibilities

Advise management on legal matters related to

education laws

,

labour laws

,

trust/society laws

, and

corporate regulations

. Ensure compliance with statutory bodies such as

UGC, AICTE, NCTE, CBSE, State Education Department, University regulations

, etc. Interpret laws, rules, notifications, and government orders relevant to educational institutions. Assist in obtaining NOCs, approvals, and affiliations from government authorities. Support during inspections and audits by statutory bodies. Draft responses to show-cause notices and compliance reports. Draft, vet, and review:- Appointment orders, service agreements, and HR policies, MOUs, contracts, vendor agreements, and lease deeds, Undertakings, affidavits, bonds, and declarations.

Skills

Experience working with

CBSE schools / Colleges / Universities / Educational Trusts

Familiarity with government departments and regulatory bodies. Ensure compliance with

Industrial Disputes Act, Shops & Establishments Act, EPF, ESI, Payment of Gratuity Act

, etc.
