Job Summary

CIHM Darbhanga is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

Lecturer - Food Production

to deliver high-quality culinary education and practical training to students pursuing hospitality and hotel management programs. The candidate should possess strong subject expertise, teaching skills, and industry exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver theoretical and practical lectures in

Food Production / Culinary Arts

as per the prescribed curriculum. Conduct kitchen practicals, demonstrations, and assessments. Plan lesson schedules, practical menus, and academic activities. Evaluate student performance through internal assessments, practical exams, and assignments. Maintain kitchen discipline, hygiene standards, and safety protocols. Guide students on culinary techniques, food presentation, and industry practices. Assist in curriculum development, academic audits, and inspections if required. Participate in academic meetings, events, workshops, and student activities. Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and inventory. Perform any other academic or administrative duties assigned by the institute.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in

Hotel Management / Culinary Arts / Food Production

from a recognized institute.

Experience:

Minimum

1-3 years

of teaching or relevant industry experience in Food Production (freshers with strong industry exposure may also apply).

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Indian and International cuisines. Excellent teaching, demonstration, and communication skills. Ability to manage kitchen operations and student batches. Passion for teaching and mentoring students. Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, academic documentation).
