Full details about teaching in the School can be found on our website: www.kent.ac.uk/smsas Key Accountabilities / Primary Responsibilities \xef\x82\xb7 Undertake teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including the development of new modules and providing support for student learning. \xef\x82\xb7 Develop and extend your existing successful research career, writing research papers of the highest quality and securing external funding. \xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with colleagues in the School on course development, delivery and assessment, taking on appropriate management and administrative responsibilities. Key Duties The principal duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will be as follows: Teaching \xef\x82\xb7 Deliver teaching to achieve the highest standards of student experience in a variety of settings from small tutorial groups to large lectures. \xef\x82\xb7 Develop excellent teaching and learning support material across a range of modules. \xef\x82\xb7 Set and mark assessments and examinations, providing timely feedback to students in a way that helps them develop their knowledge and skills. \xef\x82\xb7 Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking project work. \xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with academic colleagues on course delivery, development and curriculum changes. \xef\x82\xb7 Provide pastoral support to students. Research and Innovation \xef\x82\xb7 Undertake research of the highest quality within the Statistics group to enhance the University\xe2\x80\x99s next REF submission. \xef\x82\xb7 Generate funding to sustain your research from appropriate external sources such as Research Councils and other funding bodies. \xef\x82\xb7 Build a research programme with research students and post-doctoral researchers. \xef\x82\xb7 Publish in the most prestigious journals.
