Lecturer in Radiology

Job Purpose:



To deliver high-quality teaching, training, and research in Radiology, contributing to the academic and clinical development of undergraduate and postgraduate medical students while supporting departmental clinical and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:



Teaching & Academic Duties



Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Radiology for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Develop course materials, teaching aids, and assessment tools in line with the curriculum. Supervise student projects, dissertations, and clinical case studies. Participate in curriculum development and academic planning. Conduct assessments, examinations, and provide constructive feedback to students.

Research & Scholarly Activities



Engage in research activities within Radiology and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Seek external funding opportunities for research projects. Collaborate with colleagues on inter-disciplinary research initiatives.

Clinical & Professional Duties

(if attached to a teaching hospital)

Participate in clinical radiology services including diagnostic imaging and reporting. Support training of junior doctors, residents, and radiology interns. Contribute to quality improvement and clinical audit activities.

Administrative & Other Responsibilities



Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, committees, and academic events. Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences. Undertake continuous professional development to keep updated with advances in Radiology. Support the department in accreditation and compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:



MBBS with MD / DNB in Radiology (or equivalent postgraduate qualification). Registration with the relevant Medical Council (as per national regulations). Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level preferred. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to research, publications, and academic growth. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic and clinical environment.

Desirable Skills:



Experience in digital teaching platforms and e-learning tools. Special interest or fellowship in subspecialties (e.g., Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology,
