This role involves identifying learning needs, creating individualized support plans, and coordinating with teachers and parents to ensure consistent progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs.
Assist in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Collaborate with class teachers to modify lessons, materials, and assessments.
Monitor and document student progress regularly.
Support classroom behaviour management and help create an inclusive learning environment.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and strategies for support.
Use age-appropriate strategies to strengthen foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and socio-emotional development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
Training or experience in learning support, special education, or remedial education (preferred).
Strong understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children of varied learning profiles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
