Job Summary

The Learning & Development Officer will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs for teams across the events business, with a strong focus on

sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and operational excellence

. This role ensures that employees are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and commercial mindset required to plan, sell, market, and execute successful events.

Key Responsibilities Learning & Development

Design and implement structured training programs for event sales, marketing, and operations teams Conduct training needs analysis based on business goals, performance gaps, and event outcomes Develop learning materials such as presentations, manuals, playbooks, role-play scenarios, and e-learning content Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, refresher trainings, and coaching programs Evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics
Sales Training & Enablement

Train teams on event sales strategies, lead generation, client pitching, negotiation, and closing techniques Develop sales scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and customer journey training Work closely with sales leadership to align training with revenue targets and market opportunities
Marketing Training

Train teams on event marketing strategies including digital marketing, social media, partnerships, sponsorships, and promotions Build learning modules around branding, audience engagement, campaign planning, and ROI measurement Support marketing teams in understanding market trends and attendee behavior
Operations Training

Develop operational training for event planning, execution, logistics, vendor management, and on-ground coordination Ensure teams are trained on SOPs, compliance, risk management, and quality standards Support post-event reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Partner with sales, marketing, and operations leaders to align learning initiatives with business objectives Stay updated on trends in events, learning methodologies, and commercial best practices Support talent development, career progression, and succession planning
Required Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in

event sales, marketing, and operations

Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities Ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions Analytical mindset with the ability to measure learning impact Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management, HR, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in the events industry, with hands-on exposure to sales, marketing, and operations Prior experience in training, coaching, or learning & development is highly preferred Certification in Training, L&D, or Coaching is an added advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ?16,285.20 - ?30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
