In this role, you will be leading the entire TSE team (procurement project management & new product development) Commodity: Iron casting, Precision casting, Machining, Sheet metal fabrication, Forgings, etc. You will be reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Manager.


Your responsibilities

• Leading entire TSE team (procurement project management & new product development).
• Commodity: Iron casting, Precision casting, Machining, Sheet metal fabrication, Forgings, etc.
• Driving development projects with suppliers from RFQ to part release; this includes close coordination with other functions/experts and where applicable includes PPAP (Production Part Approval Process and Product) surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites.
• Leading the quick reaction to quality issues at the supplier.
• Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Qualification & Supplier Registration by supplier audits.
• CAPA for development parts whenever needed.
• Work together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary.
• Leading improvement projects(L6s) in collaboration with the on-site supplier team.
• Ensuring the supplier qualification process is executed in full and ensures the relevant suppliers are and remain fully qualified and compliant.
• Working with Procurement management to continually improve such processes, including necessary training materials.
• Ensuring suppliers remain in compliance with the TISIPL Supplier Code of Conduct, ethics and corporate governance, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Leading the execution of supplier assessments, driving both corrective and preventive actions as applicable, based on supplier maturity and performance.
• Supporting local operations and service in handling supplier non-performance mitigation actions.
• Using Supplier Quality Management tools and systems for collaboration, reporting, monitoring, and disposition of quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metrics.
• Sanity check & cost negotiation with suppliers to get competitive prices.
• Driving the team with L6S projects related to Production, Quality & Delivery.

• A bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
• Required min 10-15 years of experience.
• Required knowledge in casting/machining/fabrication/hardware process.
• Knowledge of MM (Material Master Module), and DMS module of SAP to resolve issues of material master for the complete organization.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba to manage suppliers.
• Must have knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software namely AutoCAD, Solid Works, and Catia will be an added advantage.
• Must have lean six sigma green belt.
