Job Purpose: Lead - System Planning & Grid Integration Study is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and integration of electrical systems into the larger energy grid. This role ensures the smooth integration of renewable energy projects into the grid infrastructure, optimizing system performance, and ensuring that grid stability and energy delivery meet required standards.
Responsibilities:
System Planning and Design Oversight:
Lead the design and planning of electrical systems for grid integration, ensuring compatibility with grid specifications and renewable energy standards.
Conduct system simulations and analyses to evaluate and refine grid integration strategies.
Grid Integration Studies:
Oversee the execution of grid integration studies to analyze the impact of renewable energy projects on existing grid infrastructure.
Ensure the appropriate selection of technologies and methodologies to support stable and efficient energy transmission.
Stakeholders Management:
Engage with grid operators, electrical engineers, and regulatory authorities to develop integration plans that align with national grid codes and standards.
Facilitate coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders to address technical and regulatory challenges.
Optimization and Efficiency Improvement:
Develop and implement strategies to optimize energy generation, storage, and distribution systems, minimizing losses and improving grid reliability.
Leverage advanced technologies such as smart grids and energy storage systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance and Standards Adherence:
Ensure that system designs and integration solutions adhere to industry regulations, safety protocols, and sustainability objectives.
Stay updated on evolving grid codes and standards to ensure continued compliance across projects.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
Identify risks associated with grid integration, including potential operational inefficiencies, instability, and technical failures.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges during system integration or operation.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance and training to ensure the team is proficient in the latest grid integration technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on grid integration and power systems.
Work Experience:
Minimum 12+ years in system planning and grid integration, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role in the renewable energy sector.
